Hey, guys! This week's devlog will be giving a status update on our two hypercasual games as well as showcasing last week's #FeedbackFriday games.

Hypercasual #1

Hypercasual #1 is in its final testing phase and will be released on the App Store soon! Stay tuned!

Hypercasual #2

Hypercasual #2 is in its final stages of development. We're working on the background as well as a few bug fixes.

We had the pleasure of playing three amazing indie games last weekend!

La Grande Ligne

The first game we played was La Grande Ligne (DEMO) by @JRatompo. In La Grande Ligne, you and your people live on a planet where the day is intolerably hot and the night is unbearably cold. Therefore, to survive, you must live on a train that runs just fast enough to remain within the twilight zone. Your goal then is to build a "city on tracks," a train which functions as a city.

We love this concept and the overall direction of the game! They added a simple twist to the genre of traditional resource management games and produced a novel game that was like a breath of fresh air with a very distinct feel to it.

Their demo is in a very early stage of development, but we liked what we saw and look forward to seeing the final version of their game when it comes out. Check out the developer and the demo here:

We wanted to make a super long train and then piece together the images to produce a long panoramic-like image to post on here, but alas...we accidentally clicked out of the browser and lost all our progress. *sob*

Avocado Rush

The second game we played was Avocado Rush by @MichiTodemann. Okay, this is one of the cutest games ever. You play...as an avocado. An avocado trying to put itself together by finding its seed and its other half while trying to avoid being chopped up for lunch. Simple game. But beware the Flappy Bird syndrome... *cue ominous music*

ANYWAY, check out the developer and game here! :-D

OMG, look at the seed's eyes. It's so cute~ I am never going to look at an avocado the same way again.

Beat Workers

The third and final game we played was Beat Workers by @BeatWorkers. Your job in this game is to tap in sync with the beat of the music while simultaneously fighting off the Saboteur and his evil minions. And in the process, you build up buildings and monuments for your robotic city.

This is a very high quality game. The music is AWESOME. The graphics are AMAZING. The game was fun to play - we love it! Y'all should check out the developer and their game:

The robot face above the progress bar is so CUTE! It's actually dynamic and will change depending on what's going on around it.

Hey, gang! AGG is back with another devlog! This will be another short post since we've been focused on hypercasuals the last week. In today's post, we'll be talking about the statuses of the two hypercasual games we've been focusing on.

Hypercasual #1 Status

Hypercasual #1 is officially in its testing phase! For now, we're limiting our testers to family and friends as we focus on fixing major bugs.

We're hoping to release this game later this week, so keep updated!

Hypercasual #2

While Hypercasual #1 is in testing, we've started development of Hypercasual #2:

This will be our last hypercasual game before we return to Pumpkin and her plants for Stage 2 development. We're hoping to get it to testing later this week. Stay tuned!

Feedback Friday - Vaults of Vvorr

We had the opportunity to play the wonderful Vaults of Vvorr . This game mixes elements of metroidvania, Celeste, Super Meat Boy, among some unique features like playing with gravity. It was extremely fun and the aesthetic brought me back to my 90's game console days. The controls were smooth and it "felt" good to play. It is an early game and is still in early testing, but we highly recommend giving it a try!

The game has native controller support, and we played with a controller. We highly recommend playing it this way as it seems that was how the developers intended it to be played.

Trying to get the big tendies!

Really fun and interesting training levels.

New abilities are obtained throughout the game that helps you get past certain obstacles.

Hey, gang!

As mentioned in Devlog #10, Angry Goat Games is taking a break on our other game to work on a few hypercasual games that we've been wanting to work on. Since hypercasual games aren't as complex, this devlog will be on the short side. This is what we've been up to the last week:

Is he not the cutest thing???

Currently, we're working on fixing a few bugs before moving it to testing. Then we have a second game lined up. :-)

So make sure to follow us @AngryGoatGames on Twitter for updates!
